Shannon Noel:

Do you ever feel a sudden rush of depression after completing a project? Me too. Hi, come on in. My name is Shannon. There's coffee up front. Make yourself at home.

Shannon Noel:

This sudden rush of depression after completing a project is normal, 100% normal. It is called post-project depression. After so much excitement and adrenaline and razor sharp or even like loose focus, our minds and hearts can totally just want to crash.

Shannon Noel:

Here are five quickie tips to help you through this. Number one celebrate what you just completed. That's right. Celebrate it. Pat yourself on the back, do a dance, toast yourself, shout it through a megaphone, whatever it takes to celebrate the accomplishment you just accomplished. Celebrate

Shannon Noel:

. Number two feel all the feelings coming up for you Really. Honor yourself and love on yourself through all of these feelings For real. Get cozy with all of your emotions, y'all. I don't want you judging any of them. If you feel depressed, if you feel ecstatic, if you feel scared, if you feel horny, whatever, get cozy with your emotions, like get really cozy with

Shannon Noel:

them.

Shannon Noel:

Number three evaluate the project. What worked, what would you change? This is how we accumulate data for our next project and how we build trust with ourselves, integrity with ourselves. Evaluate what you just did, not just the negative

Shannon Noel:

things, but all of the. positive things. Number four look for what inspires you now. This could have changed since you completed this project. We don't know where the completion of one project will lead us to, so really pay attention to what you're feeling drawn to now. Number five plan a new project.

Shannon Noel:

Look, goals give our brains direction, and our brains are always, every day, all day, going in some direction. It's just the way of a brain. So why not choose which direction you want it to go? Why not make it an intentional choice by setting a goal, one that inspires you, feels fun, empowering, doable, or even one that feels impossible? Because why not? Here's the thing just by steering yourself even one inch towards your next goal, you will change and grow and blow your own mind. You will show yourself how incredibly powerful you are, and also how much fun life can be when we choose on purpose what to focus on. You are worthy of this kind of fun and this kind of empowerment. Keep showing up. You are the divine creator of your own universe, the enchantress of infinite possibilities and the cosmic witch of all good things. You are a creative soul, here to weave your magic and bring your visions to life. Trust your power. It's already yours.
